- Notes
- There has been some confusion between this object and a fragmentary pottery jar also in the Peabody Museum, PMAE_5863 (=HUMFA_34-4-4). This seems to have come about due to a registry error in 1934, in which a number of objects were given 34-10-* and 34-12-* numbers, despite those numbers already having been used; these numbers were later changed to 34-4-*, to avoid duplication. However, PMAE_5886 should not have been "corrected" to 34-4-4 (from G 7000 X) in MFA records; it seems to belong with HUMFA_34-10-4 and HUMFA_34-10-5 (both bent-sided bowls, fragmentary, incomplete); it does not appear to fit with either bowl, but was shipped in BG#444, as was 34-10-5. Fragment is labeled 34-10-4(2).
