Remarks
Mastaba west of G 8893 (Mastaba A) and G 8894 (Mastaba B), east of G 8830 (Unfinished Rock Cut Tomb; Rock Cut Tomb (C-7/8)). Excavated in 1930-1931 by Hassan.
Research Activity
Substructure. Two shafts are cut deep in the floor of the chapel and have side burial chambers. Superstructure. Its main entrance, with inscribed lintel, leads to a long unfinished chapel. The lintel has the name and titles of the deceased and a representation of him seated. The drum is unfinished. The chapel has a false-door on its western wall and its eastern wall has another entrance, both are unfinished. In the southern wall of the chapel is a small opening that leads to a very small square chamber that was used later as a burial place.
