Remarks
Mastaba lies south of Khafre Causeway, against northeast side of G 8814 (Mastaba of Shaft 275) and west of G 8834 (Mastaba of Shaft G 260). Excavated in 1930-1931 by Hassan.
Research Activity
Substructure. Behind the false-doors are the two principal shafts, S 226 and S 254, with side burial chambers. There are another three shafts: S 266, S 267, and S 232. Superstructure. All the walls of the mastaba are exceedingly damaged and three courses only of the original height are still in situ. Incribed parts of the broken jambs and drum were found. The lintel and drum were inscribed with the name and titles of the deceased. On the western wall of the chapel are the lower parts of two decorated false-doors showing the deceased receiving offerings accompanied by inscriptions.
