Remarks
Mastaba is north of G 8975 (Dag), southwest of G 8980 (Wetetj-hetep), and south of Khafre Causeway. Excavated in 1930-1931 by Hassan.
Research Activity
Substructure. The mastaba has three shafts. The principle shaft is cut inside the chapel and lies between the second and the third false-doors. A sarcophagus is cut in the floor of the burial chamber. It contained a skeleton extended on its back with head facint the north anf face turned left. Superstructure. The entrance leads to a long, narrow and rectangular chapel, the western wall of which has three decorated false-doors with inscriptions - owner's and family's representations. The southern wall has offering scenes. The jambs of the doorway and drum and lintel are all damaged. The lintel is inscribed with the name and titles of the deceased. The serdab is situated on the southern wall and was found empty.
