- Mastaba built north of G 8970 (Mastaba of Shaft 322), east of G 8975 (Dag) and south of G 8978 (Mastaba of Khamerernebty [II]). Excavated in 1930-1931 by Hassan.
- Research Activity
- Substructure. Shaft No. 320 is just in front of the false-door. It leads to a rectangular side-chamber on the north. At the north western side of the chamber, a sarcophagus was cut in the rock. Its lid was broken into many pieces and some of these pieces were found over it. In the southern wall of the burial chamber, there is a break in the rock connecting it to Shaft No. 317. In the filling of the last burial chamber, a model of an alabaster shouldered jar with a rounded base was found. Superstructure. The entrance is reached from the south by a narrow passageway. The doorway of the chapel appears at the northern end of the eastern wall. The drum has the titles of the deceased. The lintel shows the deceased and his wife, daughter, and titles. On the right jamb, the deceased is shown standing with his sons and their titles. The thickness of the right jamb has four registers that show the deceased seated, titles of the deceased, two young men, and bulls led by men. On the thickness of the left jamb, there are traces of the deceased, his titles, son, wife, servants, and animals. The left jamb has traces of the deceased and his titles. The doorway leads to a rectangular room that is unfinished except for the southern part of the western wall on which sculpture work was begun. Near the southern corner and opposite the doorway is an uninscribed false-door cut in mother rock. A niche is cut, inside which is a statue cut in the rock and is...
