Remarks
This tomb is shown but not labeled on map between G 2387 and G 2389. Looks like several chambers with no shafts. G 2388 was assigned during excavation to the chapel area N of G 2387 and E of G 2379. Reisner notes on unpublished manuscript page HUMFA_GN2_K12_p176 that "G 2388-2389: were assigned to areas north of 2385(2387) while clearing" but "as the structures became clear" they were numbered G 2385 and G 2450-2. However, he continues to use number G 2389 (shafts A and B), including further down on the same page. The chapel area (originally called G 2388) is drawn but not labeled on maps HUMFA_EG000498 and HUMFA_EG023521); it is unclear which tomb it belongs to. Reisner seems to imply that it was subsumed under G 2385/2387, but G 2385 has another, much larger, chapel area to the west of G 2385 A and G 2387 A. Alternately, it could be the superstructure for G 2389 shafts A and B (located as shown on original sketch plan on diary page HUMFA_Vol.04.p.062). Or, yet again, it could be the superstructure for G 2452 (as shown on later map HUMFA_EG000498, having switched places with the original location of G 2389 A); or it could even perhaps belong to G 2450, which had some superstructure preserved but no indication of a chapel on any of the plans.
